Enjoy a tasty Halloween with us! Students bring their own candies of choice to class to do a taste test and taste rating using a downloadable worksheet that includes look, texture, taste, and ranking favorites. Teachers help students with vocabulary words to describe their candies, and encourage students to express themselves. Teachers will be able to read Halloween-themed stories. Teachers and students are welcome to dress up for Halloween!
Why Learn About Different Types of Chocolate?
By exploring different ways foods are used beyond the traditional or typical ways they are used in cooking, children become exposed to thinking outside the box, expand their creativity, broaden the concept of possibility, and gain more global awareness in which different cultures use ingredients they know in different ways. By learning these diverse ideas, young children easily grasp the skills of understanding and appreciating difference, uniqueness, and creativity.
