In this course, students will practice their public speaking skills, think critically, and learn how to form and create arguments about selected topics in a respectful manner with their peers.
Learning how to debate and develop persuasiveness can help children improve their research skills, which also allows them to broaden their minds on a variety of topics. Exploring different debate topics and listening to different opinions allow for children to view a range of perspectives that not only teach them to listen and understand different opinions but also help them build self-esteem and let them know that their voice matters.
Students must meet the following language requirements in order to take this course.

For students currently taking an ELA program, they must currently be within ELA Advanced Grade 2 or above to participate.
You may cancel anytime before the application deadline and you will not be charged any cancellation fee. However, if you cancel after the application deadline, 100% of the course fee will charged as a cancellation fee.
