Combine the hands-on fun of origami with the wonder of learning about science in these unique four-part group courses. From exploring the anatomy and physiology of a frog and learning about the vital role honey bees play in our survival, to identifying how volcanoes have shaped the world we live in and how tectonic plates move causing earthquakes which have devastating impacts, students will have endless opportunities to expand their knowledge in both the life and earth sciences.

In each instalment of this course, students will explore a different scientific topic:
Frog Dissection
Frogs are an amazing biological model. In this fun and informative class, students will model and dissect their own paper frog. While doing so, students will learn all about frogs, including topics like:
Honey Bees
Did you know bees flap their wings 200 times a second? Or that bees are responsible for a third of the world's food supply? Wow! Students will learn all about bees while making their own model honey bee. Topics covered will include:
Volcanoes
With over 1500 active volcanoes on our planet, and with 10-20 volcanic eruptions happening every day, volcanoes are a major geological force in our world. In this course, students will make several origami models to learn about volcanoes. Students will cover areas such as:
Dinosaurs
In this exciting course, travel back in time some 230 million years ago to meet the first dinosaurs that walked the Earth. Maybe meet an asylosaurus? Or a plateosaurus? Or maybe even a camposaurus? So many dinosaurs to see! While modelling the Triassic Period, students will learn about a variety of topics, including:
Origami Science: Cells
Origami Science: Viruses
Origami Science: Carbon Cycle
Origami Science: Rock Cycle
