In the Graffiti Art course, children will explore the various types of graffiti such as tags, stencils, posters and so much more! During each lesson, students will discuss famous graffiti artists, view examples of their artwork, and partake in fun learning activities in their Graffiti coursebook. To finish the lesson, learners will apply their self-expression skills by creating custom graffiti inspired masterpieces!


Students will receive their own art kit and Art Program: Graffiti coursebook in the mail before the course starts!


Lesson Overview

In each lesson, students will study one well-known graffiti artist amongst peers, examine artwork and take virtual gallery tours. Students will also participate in fun quizzes, interactive games, and exciting activities inside their GSA coursebook. Learners will finish out each lesson using new techniques to make amazing artwork!



Art Program Course Kit

This course kit includes a special GSA Art Program coursebook based on the course you select. Workbooks are filled with fun facts, extra activities, and amazing pictures! The art kit consists of 85 pieces and has everything you need to be an artist!




Students will explore the various types of graffiti such as tags, stencils, posters, and much more! Students will study famous graffiti artist Cornbread, view examples of his artwork, play exciting interactive graffiti games, and participate in fun learning activities in the GSA Art coursebook. Applying their self-expression skills, students will use oil pastels to make their names in graffiti letters with inspiration from Cornbread.



In lesson 2, students will look at another aspect of graffiti. Students will examine and discuss a popular artist with a unique graffiti style; Keith Haring. Students will view examples of his vibrant artwork, take a virtual gallery tour and participate in fun learning activities inside the GSA art coursebook. To finish out the lesson, students will utilize creative thinking skills to paint an acrylic Keith Haring inspired masterpiece!



Students will examine and discuss the mysterious graffiti artist Banksy in lesson 3. Students will view his popular artwork, play a fun game drawing, view exciting graffiti videos, and participate in learning activities inside the GSA art coursebook! At the end of the lesson, students will produce a custom watercolor artwork inspired by Banksy!



Students will focus on the eye-catching street style of graffiti artist Lady Pink in lesson 4, view examples of her artwork, refer to their GSA art coursebooks and take a quiz to see how much they know about graffiti! Applying inspiration from Lady Pink, students will create a vibrant watercolor pencil graffiti art flower! Learners will finish out the graffiti course viewing art perspective, graffiti artists, new skills acquired, and the importance of art in our lives.
