"English Foundations" by Global Step Academy builds a solid language foundation for English learners, and provides future global citizens with the ability to learn and work in English.

Our lessons are designed to capture young children's attention easily. The lessons are conducted in a simple three-step flow Listen, Practice and Play, to match children's natural way of acquiring knowledge. Our 25-minute lessons are full of fun!

Global Step Academy's original English Foundations textbooks are filled with colorful pictures and fun activities, stimulating students' curiosity and encouraging their participation in lessons.

A good learning habit is essential for language learning. At Global Step Academy, we provide fun and educational online games, worksheets, e-books, and video/audio resources to facilitate self-learning habits that will benefit students for the rest of their learning journey.

PROGRESS TRACKING AND HELPFUL RESOURCES ROLLED INTO ONE
Every unit has an assessment lesson where students will be evaluated on how well they have progressed in their English learning. Based on a student’s assessment outcome, our system applies a unique set of evaluation standards to provide a personalized score for each core English skill.
STUDENT REPORT
Each student gets a complete, individualized breakdown of progress to see areas of improvement, areas of achievement, and a total overall score of English performance.
ADDITIONAL LEARNING RESOURCES PROVIDED
Along with the progress of their English learning, students will get helpful resources aimed to improve their skills and boost their English learning to the next level.
ENGLISH FOUNDATIONS GRADE 1
Main Level Objectives
Transitioning from language exposure to application allows for Grade 1 students to begin practicing their speaking and listening skills to answer questions and use vocabulary words learned in class. Reading and writing activities are now included to help accumulate the knowledge they are acquiring in each class.

Main Level Objectives
Applying all four core skills into daily life encourages students to apply what they are learning in class to things they see and do every day. Your child will have built up their skill to a level where they are no longer applying their language skills from a memorization standpoint but will use their skills to form organic sentences, express their opinions, comprehend basic reading prompts, and expand writing basic coherent sentences.
